3AAA Player of the Week, Nieves of Brinkley Monday, September 3rd, 2029 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the M3L Triple A, but last week Mario Nieves of the Brinkley Belugas reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Nieves rocked opposing pitching for a .429 average (9-for-21), 1 home run and 10 RBIs to come away with the award. Nieves is swinging at a .280 pace on the year with 10 home runs, 60 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has played in 83 games. |
