Morningstar and Famintsyn Brawl, League Suspends Them Friday, August 10th, 2029 After an intense confrontation, both the Chukars Jared Morningstar and the Cauldrons Stefan Famintsyn were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Idaho Falls-Hogsmeade game. Both players will miss 2 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Jared Morningstar commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Morningstar is hitting .352 this year with 3 home runs and 25 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .434, 30 walks and scored 40 times. So far this year Famintsyn has made 16 starts, tossed 105.1 innings, struck out 112 batters and walked 34. His record is 7-6 with a 4.10 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .243 batting average. |
