Vernon catcher just broke into the majors this year and now the USPL Single A has just picked him as its top hitter for August. In 15 games last month, this outstanding rookie batted .333 with 7 home runs, 14 RBIs and 13 runs scored. On the season, Francis is batting .252 with 8 home runs and 26 RBIs.
