Agramónte and Oglethorpe Brawl, League Suspends Them Monday, July 9th, 2029 After an intense confrontation, both the Torch Emílio Agramónte and the Guzzlers Robby Oglethorpe were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Mancelona-Galesburg game. Both players will miss 8 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Emílio Agramónte commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Agramónte is hitting .315 this year with 4 home runs and 26 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .367, 10 walks and scored 19 times. So far this year Oglethorpe has made 12 starts, tossed 77 innings, struck out 82 batters and walked 38. His record is 1-7 with a 5.14 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .227 batting average. |
