Orwig Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Monday, July 2nd, 2029 Connetquot's Steve Orwig accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Orwig finished 4-for-5 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored and helped the Chiefs knock off the Louisiana Dragoons 12-8 at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Orwig told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Steve Orwig hit a two-run double in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Huo-tu Ching in the 8th.
