Torch Castle Named 3A's Best Pitcher Saturday, September 1st, 2029 Over the past month John Castle has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the M3L Single A. He proved all that and now he's been named August's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Mancelona Torch posted 5-0 mark and a 0.93 ERA. In 5 starts he tossed 38.2 innings, permitted 19 hits and fanned 45 batters. Up to now Castle has compiled an ERA of 1.92 with a 9-4 mark over 20 starts. He has 168 strikeouts in 145.2 innings and has held opponents to a .194 batting average. |
