Rails Hammered by Campbell, Fall Further Behind in R1
Riding the 3-hit performance of designated hitter Jeffery Campbell, the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got a road win against the Richland Rails, 9-2, in Game 3 of the PL AA Championship today. Campbell went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Screaming Eagles, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 3 games to 0.

It could have been a different outcome for Mercer Island, had it not been for Jacob Herman, the 26-year old left fielder . Herman contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Mercer Island up, 5-0.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Campbell said after the game.
