Drummers Even With Lynx After Home Win
The Tortolita Drummers and the Calgary Lynx will take the SL AAA Championship to a decisive 5th game. The Drummers got a dramatic walk-off victory in a must-win situation today to beat the Lynx 5-4 at Drummers Ballpark and force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Calgary first baseman Jesús Martínez was named player of the game in a losing effort after he went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

Ricardo Pacheco was the walk-off hero for Tortolita. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Drummers first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This wasn't a good win," said Pacheco. "It was a great win."

Game 5 is set to be played Thursday at Lynx Stadium in Calgary. The scheduled starters for the game are Darius Baxa for the Tortolita Drummers and Ray Skipworth for the the Calgary Lynx.
