Hialeah Breaks Through for First Win in 3L AAA Championship; Now Trails 2-1
The Hialeah Dodos have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Bloomington Longnecks, winning 4-1 at Dodos Ballpark today. Dodos right-hander Blaine Stottlar was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Dodos to 2-1 in the best-of-5 3L AAA Championship.

Zander Bailey aided the Hialeah cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Dodos manager Raúl Méndez, "I like our chances."

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Dodos Ballpark in Hialeah. The scheduled starters for the game are Bob Mullinax for the Bloomington Longnecks and Gabriel Herrera for the the Hialeah Dodos.
