The Put-In-Bay BC got a strong game from starter Ricardo García, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The BC took the 5-3 win over the Alameda Airmen in Game 2 of the 3L A Championship in a 10th inning walk-off today. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed García, who was named player of the game. García threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball in the win, which brought the BC into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Put-In-Bay won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Marvin Cahill on the mound for Alameda, second baseman Manny Bendixen hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing BC fans to their feet.

"We've got a great group of guys," García said, "and we're having fun right now."

The next game is set to be played Tuesday, September 11th, 2029 at Alameda Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Barry Mullen for the Put-In-Bay BC and Glenn Wimmer for the the Alameda Airmen.
