Gwinnett County right-hander Jeff Greer pitched his team to victory over the South Beach Blaze at Pipers Ballpark. The final score was 2-0. The Blaze, now 50-41, have lost 7 straight.

The Blaze had trouble solving Greer, who surrendered no earned runs on 5 hits over 8 innings.

"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Greer told the Gwinnett County Herald.
