It was a fun time at Hotspur Kiddie Complex, where the Hammond Herons and Phoenix Hotspur U-21 tangled.
A 5-RBI performance from George Robinson helped the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 beat the Hammond Herons, 9-3. Phoenix is now 37-52, while Hammond is 34-55.
Robinson had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 fastball from Pedro Rincón, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Hotspur U-21 a 6-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Robinson.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Juan Sánchez said.
