Chang-lit Min left his imprint on the 8-5 Gwinnett County win against the Phoenix Hotspur U-21. Min, who is tied for 8th in the PA in total bases with 111, was 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Rich Choquette got the win, improving to 9-3. He held the Hotspur U-21 to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The save was credited to Ming-hoa Zhou, his 16th.
Elder Sarrano chipped in for Gwinnett County, stroking a crucial 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning. For the game, the right fielder went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"We came out aggressive," said Black Cats manager Kenny Billings. "We came out swinging the bats."
Gwinnett County is now 31-43, while Phoenix is 29-45.
