|
Harlan Peppers made an impact in the 5-3 South Beach win over Gwinnett County. Peppers, who is tied for 8th in the PA in total bases with 66, was 2-3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. South Beach is now 25-19.
Peppers came through with some timely hitting for South Beach. With the score 1-1 in the bottom of the fifth and no one down, Peppers hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. His 52nd hit of the season made it 2-1, South Beach.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Peppers told the South Beach Times.
