Dragonblood Get Road Win, 5-0
|
Yellowknife starter Eugenio Piñeiro pitched effectively against the Columbia River Rats at Columbia Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 5-0 win. Yellowknife is now 24-17.
The Dragonblood got a big at-bat from first baseman Rob Ingram. For the game, Ingram was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Yellowknife a 3-0 lead.
"I thought we played a nice game," Piñeiro told the Yellowknife Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
