Dragonblood Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Cauldrons
|
With designated hitter Cristo Cuervo leading the charge, the Yellowknife Dragonblood defeated the Hogsmeade Cauldrons, 5-4, at The Dragon Den. Cuervo was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Yellowknife now sits at 17-13, while Hogsmeade falls to 14-16.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Yellowknife first baseman Jayden Laming, facing Bogdon Sokolov, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Dragonblood the 5-4 win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Cuervo told the Yellowknife Herald.
