Zambrano Rips Idaho Falls for 5 Hits
|
Blaze catcher Sepulveda Zambrano had his way with Idaho Falls pitching today at The Ballpark on the Beach and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Chukars ruined his great day by toppling the Blaze, 5-4.
"I had a great day, but you've got to give Idaho Falls credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."
"Oh, we noticed what Zambrano did today," Chukars skipper Dan Anderson said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."
Sepulveda Zambrano singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Zambrano is hitting .300 this year with 2 home runs and 13 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .345, 8 walks and scored 14 times.
