Bulls Roll to 8-1 Win Over Hotspur U-21
|
The Mt. Vernon Bulls and starting pitcher Steve Costlow stifled the Phoenix offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at Ballpark of Mt. Vernon. Mt. Vernon has a record of 9-5.
Making an impact for Mt. Vernon was third baseman Ben Hampton. He drilled a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Hampton was 1 for 2 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Costlow told the Mt. Vernon Times.
