Expos Win at Washington, 7-4
|
Starting pitcher Derek Patton pitched well enough to help the Niagara Falls Expos beat the Washington Generals by the score of 7-4. Montrell Baxa, credited with the save, is now 3 for 4 in save opportunities. Niagara Falls is now 43-52.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the fourth inning. That's when shortstop Ramón Degollado, who is tied for 3rd in the SA in total bases with 145, got hit by a pitch. The Expos went on to win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Degollado.
