The Washington Generals topped the Niagara Falls Expos, 8-7, in USSL Single A action at Washington Park. The player of the game was Washington first baseman Dan Vanblarcom. Washington reliever Randy Gabaldon got the win, raising his record to 4-2. Tony Wolfe was tagged with the loss. Washington now owns a record of 48-46.

Vanblarcom had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a 0-1 sinker from Tony Wolfe, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Generals a 8-7 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Vanblarcom.

"We found a way to get it done," Vanblarcom said.
