Late Rally by Walleye Secures Win
|
The Syracuse Storm got a superb performance from pitcher Iván Castillo, but the Walla Walla Walleye still won the game, 3-2. Castillo was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. Miguel López got the save, his 4th in 5 chances. Walla Walla bumps their record to 35-55 with the win.
Harunobu Matsushita made it 3-2 in favor of Walla Walla when he delivered a 2-run double. It came with one out in the top of the ninth. The Walleye went on to win.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Matsushita told the Walla Walla Gazette.
