Late Rally by Seahawks Secures Win
The Seahawks faced a stiff challenge from Washington pitcher Manuel Paílla, but persevered to claim a win at Seahwaks Stadium. The final score was 2-1. Paílla went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Myrtle Beach reliever Sam Schultz picked up the win, upping his record to 7-9. Abdul Rashad was saddled with the loss. The 5th-place Seahawks improved to 44-45.

The Seahawks got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Doug Allerdale. For the game, Allerdale was 1 for 1. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 46th hit of the season gave Myrtle Beach a 2-1 lead.
