The Myrtle Beach Seahawks picked up a win at Seahwaks Stadium, knocking off the Syracuse Storm, 4-3. Starting pitcher Octávio Valdéz, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Syracuse's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Myrtle Beach won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Matthew Fallows on the mound for Syracuse, right fielder Quentin Harrop hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Seahawks fans to their feet.
"We found a way to get it done," Harrop said.
