Pérez on Fire, Strikes out 17 Seahawks
|
Grim Reapers starter Cisco Pérez brought his best stuff to Seahwaks Stadium today against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, striking out 17 batters in his club's 3-2 victory.
In a strong performance, the 20-year-old Pérez gave up 6 hits in his 7.1 innings of work and issued no walks.
"I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my curveball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me."
To date this year, Pérez shows a 9-4 record, 18 starts, 130.2 innings, 179 strikeouts and a 3.24 ERA.
