Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Generals
Fans who came to Washington Park watched the Washington Generals and the Syracuse Storm fight to the finish.

The Washington Generals did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Syracuse Storm at Washington Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Phillip Donoghue, who captured player of the game honors. Washington has now won 4 in a row.

Mauro Deleón was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Generals first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

Deleón told a Washington Times reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
