The Delaware 1787 BC beat the Syracuse Storm, 4-3, at Storm Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Xuan-ling Liao, who captured player of the game honors. Liao had a game-changing single in the top of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from John Vaillancourt, he banged a run-scoring single to left, giving the 1787 BC a 4-3 lead. It was the 13th hit of the year for Liao.
