Bruins Come Back Late to Top 1787 BC
|
The Delaware 1787 BC wasted an impressive 8-inning effort from starter Jay Mahabir, falling 1-0 to the Bellevue Bruins at Bellevue Field. Bellevue reliever Brendan Haataja picked up the win, bumping his record to 5-4. Woodrow Pelot was collared with the loss. Bellevue has 3 straight wins, Delaware 3 straight losses.
Jorge Ayala was the walk-off hero for Bellevue. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bruins center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
