Delaware Hot Streak Continues with 5-2 Win
|
Delaware 1787 BC starter Charles Wells turned in an exceptional performance against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at Seahwaks Stadium, resulting in a Delaware win, 5-2. Delaware reliever Charles Wells was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Jon Trapani took the loss for Myrtle Beach. Todd Howell sewed up the save, his 16th.
Mikko Haataja, who is tied for 4th in the SA in runs scored with 37, aided the Delaware cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
"It was a good effort all around," said Haataja.
Delaware has an impressive 40-19 record.
