Seahawks Squelch Walleye Offense in Shutout Win
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Myrtle Beach Seahawks and Walla Walla Walleye clash at Walleye Tank.
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Sebastian Calvert, but it was good enough for the club to take a 5-0 decision over the Walla Walla Walleye. Myrtle Beach is now 26-31. Walla Walla is 22-35.
Danny Trautmann didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring double to put Myrtle Beach on top, 1-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Myrtle Beach skipper Chris Brown.
