Big Day for Staples as Storm Down Expos, 9-3
A nice crowd turned out to see the Syracuse Storm and Niagara Falls Expos clash at Waterfall Park.

Benefiting from Vince Staples's productive game, the Syracuse Storm downed the Niagara Falls Expos, 9-3. Staples was 4 for 5 with 3 doubles and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Storm. Pong-keun Ch'oe was the winner. Over 9 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 10 strikeouts.

Dave Maxwell, who is tied for 10th in the SA in bases on balls with 25, helped out the Syracuse cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman was 1-5 with a walk.
