The Syracuse Storm did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Washington Generals at Storm Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Iván Castillo, who captured player of the game honors. In 8 innings, Castillo surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Syracuse bumps their record to 19-27 with the win.

Mike Clifton aided the Syracuse cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 3.

"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Clifton told the Syracuse Today.
