The Washington Generals faced a tough opponent in Bellevue pitcher Kewiki Pua, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Bellevue Field by a final score of 4-2. Pua went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The winner was Ramón Cortéz in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kewiki Pua took the loss. Manuel Paílla finished the game for Washington and earned his 2nd save.
Bill Perkins, who was drafted in the three round of the 2029 draft, aided the Washington cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.
Bellevue manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
The Generals now have a mark of 15-17.
