Phillip Donoghue pitched well, but the Washington Generals still lost the game, falling 2-1 to the Nebraska Plainsmen at Washington Park. Nebraska starter Enrique Mateo was credited with the win after throwing 79 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 2-3. Even with the win, the Plainsmen have a dismal 7-22 record.
Tatsui Murakami aided the Nebraska cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the second. For the game, the left fielder went 1-2.
