The Syracuse Storm did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Washington Generals at Washington Park. Nobody did more than left fielder Juan Jimínez, who captured player of the game honors. Washington's current losing streak has reached 5 games.

This game was not decided until late. With two out in the top of the tenth, Tsuginori Kobayashi drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Storm took the lead, 5-4.

"It was terrific getting this win," Jimínez said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
