The Airmen faced a stiff challenge from Kennesaw pitcher Aidan Clift, but persevered to claim a win at Jets Stadium. The final score was 4-3. Clift went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Marvin Cahill picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-5. Jong-yun Chong was tagged with the loss. Alameda occupies 4th place in the Menard's A at 52-39.
It could have been a different outcome for Alameda, had it not been for Giuseppe Provolone, the 22-year old third baseman . Provolone contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Alameda up, 4-3.
In postgame comments, Provolone said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
