Dragoons Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Torch
The Louisiana Dragoons bested the Mancelona Torch, 9-6, at Torch Field. Walt Trombly was named player of the game. He went 2-4 with a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Louisiana reliever Hamad Al Fardan picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Raúl Medina was saddled with the loss. Greg Kennamer was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.

George Rardin was 1 for 3 for Louisiana. The 22-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Raúl Medina. It was his 17th RBI of the season.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Trombly said.

The Dragoons now own a record of 42-48.
