Caterpillars Lose, 4-2, at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium

The Louisiana Dragoons picked up a win at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 4-2. On the mound for Louisiana was right-hander Hyung-ki Kim, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Kim, now 5-4. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. Bettino Banditelli, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
With the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the fifth inning, first baseman António Candelária delivered big for the Dragoons. Louisiana was leading 2-1 when he belted a solo home run.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Louisiana skipper Justin Trewhells.
Grand Forks now has a 12-game losing streak.
