Mango Come Back Late to Clip Torch
|
Mango Yard was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Provo Mango and the Mancelona Torch.
Provo right-hander Hikaru Yamaguchi helped his team edge Mancelona by the score of 3-2. Yamaguchi kept the opposing lineup in check. Provo goes to 46-27. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.
Ling Li was the walk-off hero for Provo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mango third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"It feels good to get that win," said Li. "Now it's on to the next one."
