Dragoons Shut Out Mango
|
The Louisiana Dragoons got a stellar performance from pitcher Bettino Banditelli, who handcuffed the Provo offense en route to a 1-0 win at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Banditelli went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-2. Earning his 1st save of the year was Dave Hemphill.
The Dragoons got a big at-bat from center fielder Reynaldo Padilla. For the game, Padilla was 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Louisiana a 1-0 lead.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Louisiana manager Justin Trewhells said.
The Dragoons now have a mark of 22-28.
