In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Grand Forks Caterpillars starter Dong Zhào kept the Mancelona Torch hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 9-2 win. Zhào, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk.
Tony Walsh, who is tied for 7th in the 3A in RBI with 25, aided the Grand Forks cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 5 with a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
Walsh told a Grand Forks Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Grand Forks occupies 10th place in the Menard's A at 19-27.
