Highlanders Fall to Lionhearts, 6-3
|
Lannister United played host to Asheville at the friendly confines of Lionheart Field.
Lannister United starter Lesedi Danjuma pitched effectively against the Asheville Highlanders at Lionheart Field. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. Fernando Elías earned the save for Lannister United, his 4th of the year.
Juan Macíel, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA in triples with 7, helped out the Lannister United cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the center fielder went 1-3 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Macíel said.
The win puts the Lionhearts at 46-56, while the Highlanders drop to 46-56.
