Richland beat Myrtle Beach on the strength of starter Paco Manuel's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Jorge Mejía, credited with the save, is now 13 for 15 in save opportunities. Richland goes to 55-45, Myrtle Beach to 49-51.
One important at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the sixth inning. Facing Myrtle Beach hurler Jorge Vázquez, Alexandre Keeping, who is tied for 7th in the PAA in total bases with 157, drew a walk. The Rails went on to win.
"We did enough to win," said Keeping.
