The inspired effort of Richland first baseman Scott Ramsey was not enough to prevent a 7-4 loss to the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles. Ramsey was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Mercer Island reliever Ricardo Campos was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Poto Scacceri took the loss. Mercer Island goes to 60-38. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.

It could have been a different outcome for Mercer Island, had it not been for Jeffery Campbell, the former first round draft pick . Campbell contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to put Mercer Island up, 6-4.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Campbell.
