Gómez Sensational for Continentals
|
Chesapeake Continentals starter David Gómez turned in an exceptional performance against the Phoenix Hotspur Youth at Chesapeake Grounds, resulting in a Chesapeake win, 3-2. Chesapeake has now won 3 straight, while the Youth have lost 3 in a row.
Though he did not get the decision, Gómez did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 7 innings, until Chesapeake eventually rallied past the Youth.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Gómez told the Chesapeake Daily News.
