Abraham Phelps made an impact in the 8-6 San Antonio win over Richland. Phelps, who is tied for 9th in the PAA in runs scored with 48, went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Colm Soto, credited with the win, is now 1-2. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3 innings. San Antonio has now won 5 straight.
Phelps had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 fastball from Miguel Hernández, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the BC a 8-5 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Phelps.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Phelps, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
