Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Rails
The Richland Rails did just enough to secure a 1-0 victory over the Lannister United Lionhearts at Rails Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Shotaro Sugahara, who captured player of the game honors. The win was credited to Hartmann Riedman in relief. His record improves to 6-7. Pedro Tavárez took the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Richland.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Richland right fielder Christian Gentry, facing Fernando Elías, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Rails the 1-0 win.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Sugahara told the Richland Observer.
