Rails Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Continentals
The Richland Rails topped the Chesapeake Continentals, 2-0, in USPL Double A action at Chesapeake Grounds. The player of the game was Richland pitcher and Caracas, Venezuela native Jorge Mejía. Richland reliever Miguel Hernández picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Mat Tengku was saddled with the loss. Hartmann Riedman notched his 6th save in 6 chances.

The most important at-bat for Richland came in the top of the ninth inning, when designated hitter Michael Bradshaw stroked a 2-2 fastball to right for a 2-run single, putting Richland up, 2-0.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Bradshaw.

Richland occupies 5th place in the Premier AA at 41-38.
