Gentry goes 3-for-5 in Rails Win
The Richland Rails beat the Lannister United Lionhearts, 13-5, at Lionheart Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Christian Gentry, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3. Shotaro Sugahara got the win, improving to 6-2. He held the Lionhearts to 3 earned runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 1. The Rails saw their win-loss record go to 36-31. At the same time, the Lionhearts fell to 31-36.

The fans who came in support of the Rails were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Lionheart Field.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Gentry, "but we could've played better."
