The Asheville Highlanders bested the Northville Eclipse, 6-2, at Asheville Park. Enrique Rocha was named player of the game. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Asheville is now 27-37, Northville 31-33.
Early in the game, right fielder Dan Parkinson had a bases-clearing double for Asheville. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Highlanders on top, 3-0.
