Highlanders Beat Continentals in 11

Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Chesapeake Grounds.
The Asheville Highlanders got a stellar performance from pitcher Ordono Lima, who handcuffed the Chesapeake offense en route to a 6-2 win at Chesapeake Grounds. The Continentals, at 26-33, have lost 7 straight games.
The Continentals had few good swings against Lima, the left-hander, who threw 106 pitches over 8 innings. He allowed just no runs on 4 hits.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Asheville manager Richard Weaver.
